Barbaresco Anco

From the upper part of the vineyard where the south east exposure benefits from the cooler temperatures at the hottest times whilst still capturing the sunlight to make this balanced and fragrant wine. Made from 100% Nebbiolo and macerated on the skins for 20-25 days before being racked into oak barrels and then aged for 20-22 months. The colour is deep ruby with flashes of brick red. On the palette it typically has good alcohol, but with fresh acidity and velvety tannins and complex flavours and aromas of dark fruits, truffle and tobacco. Ages wells and pairs well with meat, pasta and strong cheeses.
