Chianti Montespertoli DOCG is one of the 7 Chianti sub-zones just south west of Florence, the smallest and the only sub-zone which is limited to the territory of a single village. Guilio Tianacci, the producer of this wine, is the president of the Montespertoli Winemakers' Association which was established to promote the producers of the area and all aspects of the wine: the wines themselves, the territory, the landscape and wine tourism. This Chianti is made from 80% Sangiovese, 15% Canaiolo, and 5% Colorino grapes. It's a very approachable, fresh, enjoyable wine, either on it's own or with food. On the nose floral notes of violet and lavender which give way to fruity raspberries, strawberries and red currents with aromas of cut grass and tomato leaf. On the palate there are fine tannins with good freshness and elegance. Pair with meat pasta dishes and fillet steak.
