La Vigna Delle Bambole

Made only from sangiovese grapes from a single vineyard, Vigna delle Bambole, this Gran Selezione Chianti comes from one of the top sites in the 100% organic sub-region of Panzano. Only a limited number of bottles are produced. The wine is refined in large 500 litre French oak barrels for a minimum of 30 months and further in the bottle depending on the vintage. A bold wine with great ageing potential thanks to it's depth, aromatic complexity and history captured in the bottle. Intense ruby red with garnet tinges. On the nose, very intense notes of ripe red forest fruits, spice, tar, black olive, toast, leather and cigar box. Exuberant, polished, with good freshness and silky tannins. Full and persistent long finish. Pair with meat stew, steak, lamb, roast beef, strong vegetable dishes and blue cheeses.
