02 - Salice Salentino

This is a remarkable ‘Riserva’ wine made from blending Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes (80%-20%) from vineyards in the municipality of Cellino San Marco, Salice DOP. Deep ruby red, with orange sparkles that have a propensity to increase with age. Black and red fruits, liquorice, spice and tobacco. Extremely full bodied, powerful and lush with pulpy velvety tannins and good structure and acidity. Careful vinification has created this exquisite example of this style of wine that is excellent with red grilled meat, mushrooms and seasoned cheeses.
